Product Details

This beautiful, colourized proof like coin has vibrant colours, a highly polished appearance and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity. The mintage, including the two coin sets, is limited to only 6500 coins worldwide meaning that this is sure to become a prized coin for both numismatic collectors and Star Trek fans.

Star Trek: Enterprise ran for four seasons, and is the last of the T.V. series to have been produced. The series was set 115 years before the original series, and featured the first ship fast enough to explore interstellar space.

The obverse of both coins features the Ian Rank Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the words "Queen Elizabeth II 1 Dollar Tuvalu 2015" and the artist's initials.

The reverse of one coin features actor Scott Bakula, in the role of Captain Jonathan Archer. Archer is pictured standing with the bridge of the Enterprise in the background.

The reverse of the other coin features a relief of the U.S.S. Enterprise NX-01 majestically soaring over a colourized planetary scene. The wreath of laurel leaves surrounding the edges of the coin mimic the logo of the United Federation of Planets and were used in ancient Rome to symbolize victory. The Enterprise NX-01 "was" launched in 2151 and is the first vessel capable of Warp 5 speeds launched by the United Earth Starfleet.

This set, like the original run of the series, is strictly limited, get yours today before they are all gone!

The Perth Mint opened in 1899 as the British Royal Mint's 3rd branch in Australia. The historical Hay Street location handled gold refining until moving to a modern facility in April 1990. Ownership of the mint was transferred to the Government of Western Australia in July of 1970. Under an agreement with the Commonwealth Treasury, they were empowered to mint and market gold, silver, and platinum as Australian legal tender to investors and collectors worldwide. Today, they are amongst the elite world mints whose pure gold, silver, and platinum items are trusted without question. Items such as the Australian Nugget, Silver Coin Series (Kangaroo, Kookaburra, Koala, and Platypus to name a few), as well as the Australian Lunar Gold and Silver Coin Series are extensively sought after by bullion investors worldwide.

These coins comes in a unique coin container portraying the transporter on the U.S.S. Enterprise NX-01. The container holds both coins with the U.S.S. Enterprise NX-01 on top of the container and Captain Archer sitting inside. When the door of the transporter opens, two lights are turned on - one surrounding the Enterprise coin on top of the container, and the other surrounding Captain Archer so that he appears to be in the midst of beaming to his next adventure. The coin container is packed in a black collector's box featuring the Starfleet insignia super-imposed over an overhead view schematic image of the U.S.S. Enterprise NX-01.
