The majestic maple has long been the symbol for Canada. It is found all across the country and has something to offer almost year round. It offers its sap in the spring for the greatest syrup in the world, bountiful shade from its broad leaves in the summer and one of the greatest arrays of colour in the fall of any tree in the country. Harvest colours like orange, red and even purple characterize Thanksgiving and symbolize the fall here in North America and are embodied in the maple leaves.
