The Maplegram8 is a new release celebrating Canada's Chinese community and its culture. It features custom packaging with red and gold symbolizing prosperity and luck, as well as a simplified Chinese character that is a translation of "Maplegram8".

- Obverse: Features an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
- Reverse: Features the Canadian maple leaf, along with the metal weight and purity
Each coin has a distinct serial number on the blister pack which when broken down into singles acts as an individual MapleGram Certicard with the weight and purity written on it. The sleeve that holds the blister pack contains the assay certificate to verify weight and purity written right on it.
