The Pixui, also known as the Chimera, is a mythical creature revered in Chinese lore. Depicted as a powerful winged dragon with the lower half of a lion, the Pixiu is known as the preserver, container, and storer of wealth. The detailing is enhanced with an oriental border which features in only the coin’s upper half.
