Specifications
This is the first issue of the relaunched Superman™ as part of DC Comics™ New 52. DC cancelled and re-released their entire line of superhero comics, although many had similar story lines and villains. The cover of this comic features Superman™ at month "zero", appearing about 5 years younger than he previously did. He is not yet trusted by the citizens of Metropolis, and is wearing a caped t-shirt, jeans and work boots.
The obverse features the Susanna Blunt effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the words "Elizabeth II DG Regina" and the artist's initials.
The reverse features a Superman™ that appears to rise right out of the coin. Using a colourized Superman™ and by carefully overlapping the figure and the outer edge it adds to the illusion that Superman™ is actually rising above the street scene below. Superman™ is fleeing from the Police, with numerous bullets striking him with no apparent effect. The coin is further enhanced with engraved concentric circles which add depth and the feeling of motion to the design. Superman™ is surrounded by the words "Canada 2015 20 Dollars".
This coin celebrates the iconic art of Superman™ comics since they began in 1938 and makes a great gift for coin collectors and Superman™ fans alike. With a limited worldwide mintage of only 10000 they won't last long.
SUPERMAN (TM) and all related characters and elements are trademarks of and © DC Comics. WB SHIELD: TM & © WBEI. (s15)

This coin comes encapsulated in a premium graphic case.
