Specifications

The Battle of Beaumont-Hamel occurred on July 1, 1916 when soldiers from Newfoundland participated in the opening attack of the Somme offensive.

This silver coin pays tribute to the 1st Newfoundland Regiment who went "over the top" in the first push in the Battle of the Somme. Within half an hour, only 68 of the 801 men were still alive. Both sides of this coin feature selective gold plating, adding to the collectibility of this piece.

A heartfelt tribute to the sacrifices by the people of Newfoundland during WW1, order yours today.

This coin is held in an RCM branded clamshell.
