These proof-like rounds were supposed to be a members-only item for 2014, not for sale to the general public or available through authorized dealers. Mintage was limited to 250. The mint produced 32 more than were needed, and their error was not discovered until a year and a half later. We bought all of them, and they are now available so you can fill in your Silver Shield collection.
The Non Vi Virtute Vici silver round accentuates the message of Freedom begun with Freedom Girl. In this round Freedom is featured standing with flowing, braided hair and her fist held closed above her head. Engraved at the top of the design is the phrase "Non Vi Virtute Vici", which means "Not by Violence but by Excellence I have Conquered". An inspiring message that appeared on early American coins, and that many believe can be attributed to George Washington.
This round is carries a powerful message and a beautiful design. It is sure to be a collector must have. Get yours now!
Each 1 oz proof comes in a coin capsule and is shipped in a Silver Shield collector's box.
