This is the third coin in the Canadian Maple Canopy series. Spring is one of the most exciting seasons by any measure. The explosion of fresh new life and awakening of green everywhere lifts the spirit after a long winter like nothing else. The landscape seems to change by the hour as new buds and life spring forth everywhere to soak up the sun and warmer temperatures. The air is new and full of life and one of the best places to see it is from the bottom of a maple tree, Canada's arboreal symbol, looking up.

The obverse features the timeless Susanna Blunt effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the words "Elizabeth II D.G. Regina".

The reverse was designed by Canadian artist Margaret Best and features a breathtaking view of a maple tree at its springtime best. The dynamic and unexpected view from the trunk leads the eye upwards, giving a full impression of the grandness and enormity of a maple. It showcases the vivid green hue of the new maple leaves and springtime newness. A branch in the foreground helps add perspective and highlight the intricate details of this iconic fauna.

This proof finished silver coin is made from 9999 pure silver. This coin is limited to a worldwide mintage of only 7,500 and makes a great gift for anyone who enjoys the beauty of the Canadian landscape in the spring or collects beautifully engraved silver coins. Like springtime in Canada, these coins won't last long.

This coin comes encapsulated and encased in a maroon clamshell case with a serialized certificate of authenticity.
