This is one of two final releases for the Silver Bullet Silver Shield series. It is a re-release of the earlier Sic Semper Tyrannis design and is struck to be virtually identical. The Obverse is the same, and the reverse is nearly so (except of course for listing the metal as copper and the weight as Avoirdupois or "bathroom scale" ounces). It is, however, cast in copper this time. Copper has long been used as a metal by society for the most practical tasks. It is one of the oldest medals in common use with its use dating back approximately 10,000 years. It was so prevalent at one time that that time period is known as "The Copper Age". The historical and practical use of copper makes this a fitting end to the Silver Bullet Silver Shield series as it brings home the message of practicality and accessibility. As a metal, copper is far more abundant than gold and even silver. The "scarcity mentality" has far less hold on something so prevalent and abundant in our everyday lives. Copper helps bring home the message of the Silver Bullet Silver Shield series, the far less common "abundance mentality".
Please note that these rounds are bathroom scale or "avoirdupois ounces" (28.3495 grams) instead of the usual troy ounces (31.1034 grams).
In multiples of 20 these rounds will ship in a plastic tube.
