This coin has been graded as an almost perfect PR-69 Deep Cameo by PCGS.
The maple leaf is an iconic symbol of Canada, and has been THE symbol of the Canadian people for almost 300 years. Early settlers in Quebec adopted the Maple leaf as an emblem in the early 18th century, and it was first used on the Coat of Arms of Ontario and Quebec in 1868. The maple leaf first appeared on Canadian coins in 1876, and it has been a staple subject of Canada's coins ever since.
Royal Canadian Mint engraver Jose Osio has created a beautiful coin featuring a large sunken maple leaf which is painted with red enamel, surrounded by over 100 smaller maple leafs.
This coin comes in a PCGS slab detailing it's grading ranking.
