Specifications
The reverse of this coin was designed by Canadian artist Maurice Gervais and highlights one of the most iconic symbols of the holidays, the wreath. Made from boughs, leaves, seeds, berries, fruit - just about anything, wreaths are an important holiday tradition in Canada. They adorn doors, lampposts, fireplace hearths and many other places in the home and are a symbol of home and hospitality and a warm contrast to the cold of winter months. A wreath on a Canadian door is a sign of warm welcome and winter cheer to visitors. The wreath featured here is adorned with Swarovski crystal elements, two gold and three blue. The wreath itself is very simple and is composed simply of the wreath, encircled by a ribbon and crowned with a wide bow. The words "Canada 20 Dollars 2013" are engraved around the wreath. The obverse features the Susanna Blunt effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the words "Elizabeth II D.G Regina".
Mintage is limited to 10,000.
This coin comes encapsulated in a maroon clamshell box.
