Specifications

The Canadian Maple Leaf is one of the most famous and recognizable bullion coins of all time and is a flagship addition to your holdings. With the inclusion of light-refracting radial lines- as a testament to the Royal Canadian Mint's penchant for innovation and design- this stunning coin has a luster like no other. Combined with an immaculate design, which has endured since its initial release, this globally recognized coin has ensured liquidity. Enhanced security features such as the Royal Canadian Mint's patented bullion DNA means that each 1 oz coin contains a unique privy mark with a micro-engraving of the year it was released, which is only visible under magnification.

The Maple Leaf has been the symbol of Canada since its founding. This beautiful silver coin pays tribute to one of the many species native to Canada, the silver maple (Acer saccharinum).

  • Ships individually in protective packaging
  • Consisting of 1.5 oz of 9999 Fine Silver
  • Obverse: Features an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

The obverse features the Susanna Blunt effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the words "Elizabeth II 8 Dollars"

The reverse of this coin was designed by Canadian artist Stan Witten and depicts three silver maple leaves. With their edges slightly furled, these leaves evoke images of leaves gently falling in the Canadian autumn. The largest leaf lies on its side, its long petiole touching those of the other two leaves. In the foreground, one of the smaller leaves rests over top the bottom left lobe of the large leaf. The large leaf's bottom right lobe overlaps a third leaf behind it, all lending depth and gentle grace to the scene. Beautiful engraving adds detail and depth to the image by highlighting the deeply cut veins and serrated leaf margins. The words "Canada 2015 Fine Silver 1 1/2 oz Pur Argent" and the artist's initials encircle the leaves.
